Below is "The Escape: Hurley".

There's too much weight-- something (one) must go.

 

 

Trouble! A fuel leak from an errant bullet. Got's to drop some weight. Of course (cliche!) Hurley looks guilty.

Wisely, they did not toss out the life jackets. Soon they'd need them.

 

A kiss before jumping~

There is no sense making the jumping pictures bigger--they are totally fake. But feel free to click them to see for yourself. Kind of rushed I imagine this last part of production was (due to the strike running up to it).

 

 

 

 

He's just asked her what she is celebrating. She's giving him "the look."

Then she realizes that indeed Sawyer is not the sharpest knife in the drawer.

However he catches on quickly.

 
 
This is the last we see of them, sky gets pink, there's a loud noise and this is where we leave the two.
They've given Sawyer another pretty lady to annoy.

Hurley spotted the freighter first

Before crashing, the helicopter touched down on the Freighter--before it blew up.

Desmond tried to warn them away, knowing the freighter was about to go "BOOM!"

Persuading Kate to get back on the 'copter since they've gotten some fuel and have to go NOW!

Meanwhile on the Island, John as instructed by Ben at Orchid Station, goes in search of his "people."

Locke's people await, cooking up something yummy no doubt to celebrate the coming of their new leader.

This is the last we see of Richard, Locke, and their people, sky gets pink, there's a loud noise and this is where we leave them.

We'll pick up tomorrow (later today) 'cos it's 3 a.m. and I still have a ton of email. Cheers!

 

Went down to say hello to the Lake at about 4 a.m. It's a ritual/I couldn't sleep and whilst walking the shoreline, startled this little guy out of the water and onto the beach. He's about the size of a big bug.

This little row boat is weighted down by too many kids!

Yesterday, despite the soaring temperatures outside, I felt like an unbearable, cold awfulness was enveloping me.

Though simplistic sounding, when bad things happen to me the sooner I can get going on something positive--move forward--beyond--the worst thing for me is to be stuck spinning my wheels going 'round and 'round with self-doubt, insecurity, fear---the sooner I can pack things up and move on, the better.

My mind has been racing so I haven't slept much at all in the last 24 hrs.

Replaying and replaying what was one of the biggest left-field occurrences to have happened to me in more than a year.

Reeling, I tried to process it all so I could let it go, move beyond it, but the grip of fear held tight.

Finally, a few hours ago this thing, this ugly good-for-nothing baggage that I was heaving around--I put it down.

I've stopped--for now anyway--trying to figure out why people do the inhumane things they do. I realize that I was let off pretty easy. I've landed on my feet, making a good recovery.

 

Our front "yard"-- it's a condo so technically, no. Shhh! Don't tell my spouse.

The flags flying mean Congress is in session. The helicopter flying means ...noise. On our tour were were reminded of snipers on certain building's roofs and of the helicopters patroling overhead constantly...they are quite good at intruding on bucolic moments.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  

 

 

 

Very gray day looking north from the Museum Campus (Adler Planetarium, Shedd Aqauarium, Field Museum--all of which you cannot see in this photograph) on the Lake Michigan waterfront.

I tend to use blue a lot when I am substantially altering a photograph.

I'm trying to be a bit more um, varied in my choices.
