Read the whole story: PETA UK:
Jamie Bamber has long been a firm favourite on the sci-fi scene, with his ever-exciting role as Lee "Apollo" Adama in Battlestar Galactica. And now he's wooing UK audiences as DS Matt Devlin in the new ITV1 drama Law and Order. There's nothing quite like fighting for justice and helping those in need – and always look really good doing it, of course!
It didn't surprise us one bit that Jamie is like that in real life too. That's why he bared his skin in PETA's newest ad to help save black bears killed for their fur. When Jamie learned how Canadian black bears are killed to make the Queen's Guards' ceremonial caps, the British-born actor jumped at the chance to help. "I initially decided to do the PETA ad because a great friend of mine in L.A., Lucy Davis, had just done a similar ad, and I love Lucy and it was a cause I didn't know about – I'll be honest. So as soon as Lucy opened my eyes, I was thrilled to join her and do my bit."
Apollo & His Towel
From "Final Cut," Battlestar Galactica.
While D'Anna interviews Viper pilots by their bunks, Apollo tries to introduce himself.
Until now fans of Jamie Bamber (Apollo On the Sci Fi Channel's Battlestar Galactica) had to make do with the awesome but short clip of Mr. Bamber almost losing his very small towel in a memorable scene from the episode "Final Cut" on the tv series "Battlestar Galactica." No more. In an effort to raise awareness of the plight of black bears killed to make the Queen's Guard's caps--it takes one whole bear to make a single cap--Jamie got naked for PETA.(top of page) Originally found at HuffPost. My big Friday night television series surfathon at YouTube went very well. I caught up on the mini-preview for both the mini-series, "Razor," to air on November 24th on the American SciFi network, and saw some spoilerish series scenes from BSG Season Four! Whee!

Excellent End of the 3rd Season.
This freaked me out_completely_ especially the end! OMG!
Poor Starbuck!
This one (below) didn't scare me as much as the Season 4 Preview with Starbuck in a cell screaming "We're going the wrong way!" That made me kind of interested in seeing much more. Now, please. ;)
I just saw a little snippet of a video of a few of the key players including the creative team, at a big "Con" (Comic Con?) doing a panel discussion Spoiler (Shhhh! Lucy Lawless gets unboxed!) during hiatus last summer and it was mentioned by "Starbuck" that the esteemed Canadian actor, Michael Hogan, "refuses to believe that (Spoiler) Tigh is a Cylon!" Heh. Poor guy. He's really into the role. But it is so odd--not only the XO, but Chief Tyrol, Sam Anders and Tori.... President Laura Roslin's (Mary McDonnell) assistant. All of a sudden we've got four secret Cylons, at least two of them main characters, thrust upon us. I think if you'll pardon the expression, they are going "balls to the wall" in making the end--the fourth and final season of Battlestar Galactica. I'd be cool with that--and some DVD's in the future. :) I do not ask for much. ;) I just hope they did not blow the budget on the miniseries they made for my birthday, OK 5 days early, still-- I'll rerun it on my birthday. :)
