This man has been great about communicating with the American public. I hope he does get around and not make any apologies for it - he needs to see what's really going on around here to make a difference.

Yes, it would be easy to get out of touch, as I think many past presidents have. I admire his wish to keep it real.

I admire him in a number of ways and I think/hope the world in general is going to feel the same way. The Canadians made such a fuss over him last week--for a 6-hour visit! As a Canadian ex-pat now living near Chicago, it really made me smile.

Agreed. He was criticized though as he had gone to Camp David, a retreat about an hour from the White House, the weekend before (for one night with his family).

I think some people think he should work 24/7. Our last president surely didn't.

Yep.
It's his nature to be out and about in his community. Being president severely limits it but he's really making the effort to live a balanced life.
