: Barack and Mother-in-law

Barack having lost his grandmother who helped raise him just two days prior, holds the hand of his mother -in-law, the last close matriarch in his family.

This is my favourite of election night. It really says so much about their relationship. Boy, did this guy hit it out of the park when he chose Michelle. Have not even mentioned Michelle's older brother, the really big guy onstage that evening at the end. He's only 18 mos. older than she. I'm assuming he gets on well with his bro-in-law.

Aren't they great shots! They show a loving and cohesive family - it is going to be so nice watching them move into the White House.

I love the shots.

It pretty mind-blowing still that a seemingly loving, normal family is moving into the White House. It's a good feeling despite all the huge obstacles the country (we, the people) must overcome.
